ARRESTED. Susan Sarandon arrested at NY State Capitol protesting for ‘fair’ wages.

On Monday May 8, Academy Award winning actress, Susan Sarandon was arrested at the New York State Capitol for protesting for ‘raising the minimum wage for tipped restaurant workers.’ Sarandon is the president of the One Fair Wage organization in which they fight for the end of ‘sub-minimum wage for tip workers who make less than the minimum wage’. They believe this negatively impacts women, specifically women of color.

Sarandon was one of eight activist that got arrested. The activists were arrested, processed, issued appearance tickets, then quickly released.
