LOSES. T.I. and Tiny Lose Their Copyright Infringement Lawsuit Against L.O.L Surprise Toy Maker.

On Friday, May 26, a jury ruled in favor of the toy company, MGA Entertainment, in their lawsuit case against rapper T.I and wife Tiny. The couple initially sued the company for allegedly using the name, likeness, and trade dress of Tiny’s girl group, OMG Girlz. MGA Entertainment named one of their toys, “L.O.L. Surprise OMG dolls” in 2019.

The case was initially declared a mistrial when the T.I and Tiny’s lawyer accused the company of racist cultural appropriation. The lawsuit when on again this month and the jury ultimately ruled in favor of MGA Entertainment.
