As widely reported a month ago, Wendy Williams finally filed for divorce from her husband and former manager Kevin Hunter amid allegations of his ten year affair with a woman by the name of Sharina Hudson and them allegedly also having a baby.
Even with all the photo, video and hospital evidence of the alleged affair, strange enough Wendy still opted to file for a no fault divorce.
In NJ, where she filed she had the option of filing for “no fault” or “fault” divorce. With a fault divorce, you will need to prove that your spouse’s misconduct caused the divorce. This is a higher burden but if you can prove it the judge will consider this when calculating alimony.
In this case, Wendy is the breadwinner so she should have definitely filed for a “fault” divorce as Kevin is now asking for spousal and child support of their 18 year old son. However under NJ law once your child graduates from high school or they turn 19 (whichever comes first) child support ends so it looks like he can only advocate for alimony soon. He also wants Wendy to pay for their son’s college expenses but I’m sure Wendy would have done that any way.
There is a saying, don’t bite the hand that fees you and Kevin not only lost his wife but his job as an EP on his wife’s talk show and as her manager. Yikes!
