MULTI-MILLIONAIRE. Jalen Hurts gets a record-breaking $255 million contract extension from Eagles.
On Monday morning the Philadelphia Eagles agreed and signed to a 255 million dollar contract for five years with quarterback Jalen Hurts keeping him with the Eagles until 2028. Following last season, Hurts nearly made himself indefensible as he led his team to Super Bowl LVII. He completed 71% of his passes for 301 yards as well as a touchdown with no interceptions.
The $255 million contract states that Hurts will receive about 51 million dollars a year while being guaranteed $179.3 million with a no-trade clause. The guaranteed $179.3 million is the third highest amount given to a player in NFL history.
