Lawsuit may affect Cardi B’s “Money Moves”

Cardi B is being sued by model Kevin Brophy for $5 million, who claims she used an unauthorized image of his back on the cover of her 2016 Gangsta B***h Music Vol. 1.

Cardi has already responded to this allegation saying that the cover model used in her album art is a ‘young, dark-skinned male,’ and the plaintiff is white. Most damming against plaintiff’s is that he has a ‘Born to lose’ tattoo on his neck and her model doesn’t.

Fortunately for Cardi this plaintiff can’t successfully sue her for using a model that has the same or similar back tattoo as him. That is not violating what the law considers the “common law to publicity”which simply means you can’t extort (i.e. make a coin) off of someone’s image or likeness without their permission.

So unless he can prove the model in cover art is him, this case will be dismissed!

Keep making money moves Cardi!
