The Bachelor show host Chris Harrison stated he consulted with Warner Bros and ABC and will be stepping aside from the show for a period of time. The contestant was allegedly photographed at an antebellum plantation themed event.

Contracts can contain morality clauses. A moral clause prohibits an artist from engaging in conduct that will bring either the artist or the other party to the contract into public disrepute, scandal, embarrassment, or cast a bad light on the company’s reputation. The reason for Harrison stepping aside can allegedly be a morality clause in which the producers did not want to be in a bad light for the racist actions of the host.
