Thanks but no thanks. Rapper Remy Ma (real name Remy Smith) rejected a plea deal from Manhattan prosecutors so she is headed to trial.
Remy is accused of punching her Love and Hip Hop cast mate Brittney Taylor in the face after an argument about her step daughter.
Prosecutors offered her a jail-free deal if she pleaded guilty to assault and went to anger management classes. So why did she turn it down?
Prosecutors amended the police report to change the time of the alleged crime from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Remy’s alibi as we reported previously, was that she was at home breastfeeding her baby and did not arrive to venue where he alleged incident occurred until 10:30. This change in the report by prosecutors places Remy now at scene of the crime blowing her alibi.
This change to me makes the prosecution’s case look very weak on top of the fact that they have had no witnesses come forward.
