Never Forgotten.

John Legend and Kim Kardashian are among several celebrities who are honoring Breonna Taylor, a black woman who died in her home after being shot eight times by police who entered the wrong residence during an attempted drug bust.

Legend has spoken out and called for change on Friday, what would have been Breonna’s 27th birthday. In a piece published by Entertainment Weekly, Legend stated, “Now is the time for us to join together and emphatically SAY HER NAME.” Kim Kardashian also spoke out and shared a message supporting the arrest of the three officers involved.

Other celebrities, including Ben Affleck, Gabrielle Union, Viola Davis, Lizzo, and more, also used their platforms to honor Breonna Taylor and have used the #SAYHERNAME tag. In addition to honoring Breonna, many have also shared resources and actions we can take to ensure there is justice for Breonna.

Affleck, who was seen demonstrating in Venice Beach last week, retweeted a thread celebrating Taylor with the #SayHerName tag and to contact Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to demand charges for the officers involved. Lizzo also encouraged people to reach out to Kentucky’s elected officials and demand action.

Canadian, Justin Bieber also spoke out and encouraged others to seek justice for Breonna.

Breonna was an EMT, an essential worker and put her life on the line every day. Let’s not let her be forgotten. Share her story, and #SayHerName.
