STANDSTILL: Nicole Young Subpoenas Three of Dr. Dre’s Mistresses

The divorce battle continues and seems to be at a standstill.

Nicole Young and Dr. Dre, who were married for nearly 24 years, have continued taking steps towards their divorce.

Nicole has claimed that she is entitled to half of Dre’s fortune, and that Dre ripped up their prenup papers in a show of affection.  Dre, on the other hand, claimed that his gesture was not legitimate and that the legal documents still hold.

Most recently, Nicole issued subpoenas to three women that she alleges were Dre’s mistresses. Crystal Rodgers, one of the three, is reportedly ignoring her subpoena to testify in court.  Rodgers, also known as Crystal Sierra, is allegedly refusing to answer questions about an affair.

Crystal filed a motion to halt Nicole’s advances, claiming that she is searching for information that is “irrelevant to the matter in dispute and are not reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.”  Basically, she is saying that since their legal battle is mainly over the validity of their prenup, and that she has no information on that, she cannot help either side.

Crystal further filed, “Any extra-martial affair would be irrelevant because California is a no-fault divorce state and in a pleading or proceeding for dissolution of marriage or legal separation of the parties, including depositions and discovery proceedings, evidence of specific acts of misconduct is improper and inadmissible.”

Looks like this divorce battle will take a while to come to a close.  Do you think Dr. Dre’s mistresses should be required to testify?
