“Hot Girl” rapper Megan Thee Stallion clarified on Instagram that she suffered multiple gunshot wounds from a crime she claimed was done intentionally to harm her. She stated that LAPD officers drove her to the hospital where she had surgery to remove multiple bullets.

She added that she is “incredibly grateful to be alive” and is expected to make a full recovery.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning when LAPD responded to a call of multiple gunshots outside of a party Megan was attending at 4:30 am. The police found her in a SUV with fellow rapper Tory Lanez, who was charged with a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. Lanez was later released on bail.

TMZ originally reported that she had a cut on her foot.
