OUTRAGE: Justin Timberlake, Billie Eilish and More React to Rayshard Brook’s Death

SAY THEIR NAMES.

Justin Timberlake, Billie Eilish, and other celebrities are using social media to bring attention to the death of Rayshard Brooks.

Last week, Brooks was shot twice and was killed by officers at a Wendy’s drive-thru in Georgia.

Timberlake turned to Instagram and posted a photo of Brooks holding one of his babies. “As a dad, this photo hurts,” Timberlake posted. Timberlake continued by mentioning Riah Milton, Dominique Fells, and Robert Fuller, who all lost their lives this past week and were victims of racism, violence, and intolerance. He also demanded justice for Breonna Taylor.

Billie Eilish also posted about Brooks and posted a photo of Brooks that was taken from the officer’s body camera video. It showed Brooks calmly talking with officers for over twenty-five minutes before being shot.

Kim Kardashian also tweeted over the weekend urging people to sign the petition to bring awareness to Brooks’ murder.

Megan Thee Stallion also posted ‘falling asleep in a Wendy’s drive through is NOT punishable by death. When we start cutting tf up I don’t wanna hear what’s no acceptable on our part.”

Since the death of George Floyd, celebrities have been turning to social media to express their outrage on police brutality. They have been demanding justice for those who have fallen victim to such violence. Do you think that by using social media platforms, celebrities can bring or contribute to the change and justice our country needs?
