MUTED: Tory Lanez Seeks Right to Publicly Comment on Megan Thee Stallion Case

The Saga Continues.

After Megan Thee Stallion took to Twitter last week to sound off about false reports that charges against Tory Lanez were dropped, Tory now wants to officially speak his mind and give his side of the story. Tory’s legal team filed a court document seeking to modify his gag order. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a gag order is a legal order by a court, restricting a party from sharing information or comment to the public or passed onto any unauthorized third party.

Tory’s legal team requested that the judge presiding over the case modify this order, which currently prohibits from speaking about information he gets from prosecutors. Additionally, Tory is barred from contacting Meg on social media. Tory’s legal team filed a new court document saying that Meg’s ability to speak publicly about the case while he cannot is unjust since he’s not able to defend himself. Tory is reportedly upset about Meg’s claims that he and his legal team were the source of the false reports.

Additionally, the court documents claim that Tory has proof that he can disprove Megan’s version of the story, specifically the “evidence of gunshot residue implicating others.” However, due to the protective order, Lanez isn’t allowed to disclose said evidence.

On the other hand Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, issued a statement to XXL Magazine addressing Tory’s claims he has evidence that proves he’s innocent. “Did the motion fail to mention that there was gunshot residue on his hands or that he texted her ‘Sorry’? I haven’t had a chance to read it.” Meg’s attorney commented.

Whew, things are heating up! Do you think Tory should be able to speak on the case publicly? Comment down below.
