LAWSUITS: Cases Against Travis Scott Reach More Than 40

Trouble is brewing.

Following the Astroworld tragedy this past weekend, legal troubles continue to mount as there are now reportedly 110 plaintiffs in lawsuits against Travis Scott, and there are more than 40 lawsuits filed.

On November 8th alone, 19 lawsuits were filed in Harris County Texas. Also listed as defendants on the lawsuits are LiveNation, Drake, and NRG Park. Most, if not all, of the lawsuits cite negligence. The first lawsuit, which was filed by concertgoer Manuel Souza, also contends that the defendants had “a motivation for profit at the expense of concertgoers’ health and safety”.

Since the tragedy, Scott has released statements offering his sympathy.

Scott said he could “never imagine the severity of the situation” and said said that he always wants to “leave [his fans] with a positive experience”. “Anytime I can make out what’s going on, I stop the show and help them get the help they need,” he said.

Scott has also offered to pay for the funeral expenses of those killed at the concert.
