#KanyeWest has been temporarily locked out from his Instagram account for a day for violating the social media platform\u2019s policies on hate speech, bullying and harassment after directing comments at comedian #TrevorNoah.<\/p>\n
Instagram deleted content posted by West, and is restricting the account from posting, commenting and sending direct messages for a 24-hour period, Meta Platforms Inc. spokesman Joe Osborne said in a message late Wednesday.<\/p>\n

West was mocking Noah by using the offensive \u201ck\u2013n\u201d slur to replace the original lyrics in \u201cKumbaya.\u201d<\/p>\n
West\u2019s offensive posts toward Noah came in response to the comedian discussing his dynamic with Kardashian and Davidson on \u201cThe Daily Show.<\/p>\n
Instagram accounts can be banned after repeated violations of the rules, especially if multiple accounts report the bad behavior. Most user accounts can be banned automatically via artificial intelligence if\u00a0there are enough reports, but a large verified account like West’s would be managed through Instagram’s partnerships team, which has close relationships with a number of celebrities.<\/p>\n
