In addition to her current title of Duchess she is also the Princess of Wales but decided to not take the title because of the late #PrincessDiana originally having this title.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Elizabeth, 95, said it was her \u201csincere wish that, when the time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.\u201d A consort is the partner of the ruling monarch.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement seemed to resolve a sensitive issue for Camilla, the second wife of Prince Charles, who is Elizabeth\u2019s eldest son and the heir to the throne.
