Dave Chappelle Controversy Continues as Trans Netflix Worker Fired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cIf this is what being canceled is about, I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/images-1.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4748 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/images-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clearly, the veteran comedian is unfazed by the backlash and criticism on his new Netflix special \u201cThe Closer\u201d. Where during the recorded stand-up Chappelle openly declares he is \u201cteam TERF\u201d. The term coined by writer J.K Rowling means \u201ctrans-exclusionary radical feminist\u201d. During the show he also gave platform to \u201ccancel culture\u201d by defending the writer and what the writer had said in a previous interview. During the remainder of the set, he would claim to be a feminist and that he <em>wasn\u2019t<\/em> saying trans women aren\u2019t women yet every word following was in direct opposition to the statement.\u00a0Chappelle has a history of discussing trans issue where he admitted claims that as a man he \u201cshouldn\u2019t speak on this\u201d. From discussing fan disappointment in these transphobic remarks in \u201cEquanimity\u201d and in the 2017 Radio City Music Hall residency where it is claimed he spent 20 minutes talking about trans issues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/115637822_chappelle1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4749 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/115637822_chappelle1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/115637822_chappelle1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/115637822_chappelle1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A trans Netflix employee who openly tweeted about her disappointment in the show was recently suspended. The streaming service claims it was she tried to go into a leadership meeting \u201cwhere she was not invited\u201d. CEO Ted Sarandos defending the show claiming that it was not \u201cdesigned to incite hate or violence\u201d and that they will not be removing the show. Netflix claims they \u201cencourage employees to disagree openly\u201d. However, the timing of the suspension is suspicious.
