In court papers, the two claim that even non-expert listeners can hear the similarities between the two songs; both of which use the phrase &#8220;she got it&#8221;or &#8220;you got it&#8221; multiple times.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the court documents state that &#8220;<span style=\"font-family: inherit;font-size: 1.125rem\">Cooper and Valentine claim an analysis of the beat, lyrics, hook and rhythmic structure demonstrates that &#8220;No Guidance&#8221; was copied or, at the very least, principally derived from &#8220;I Love Your Dress.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Generally, part of pursuing a successful copyright infringement claim is proving the alleged copier had\u00a0<em>access<\/em> to the copied work, and that the copied work is\u00a0<em>substantially similar<\/em>.
