Spears\u2019 father is being exposed again for the actions taken during the 13 year long conservatorship. This time its news of him monitoring her texts, calls, browser history, and even allegedly having Britney\u2019s security team secretly film her. Jamie Spears had given the star a parental blocked iPhone that was mirrored onto an iPad to see any and all communications the star had. Reports claim this was done to ensure the icon\u2019s \u2013 who is 39 years old- \u201csecurity and protection\u201d. There are also claims that a listening device was put in her bedroom<\/em>, an area, if true, would cross many lines of privacy.<\/p>\n

These are more claims in the ever-growing list of reasons why the conservatorship should end. Especially since in California\u00a0is a two-party consent state: both those who are recording and those being<\/em> recorded need to consent. It is unclear if Britney did consent but assuming on the statements provided by her attorney it looks as though it was done without it. Britney\u2019s team is working hard to take Jamie off her conservator and just simply end it. From Jamie\u2019s control to the other claims of his poor financial history, and the claim that he may cause problems in the prenup negotiations with Britney\u2019s fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Jamie still maintains that her had done everything in the pop star\u2019s best interests and that he would agree to step down only if \u201cthe timing was right\u201d. I\u2019m sure Jamie does not want to step down and continue to be in charge of his daughter\u2019s estate but the news coverage, social media and the #FreeBritney movement is making that hard for him to do so. The hearing for whether the conservatorship will end, thus ending Jamie\u2019s reign, is on Sept 29.<\/p>\n
