McGregor can throw a punch in and out of the ring.<\/p>\n

At the VMAs this past Sunday, McGregor and MGK were seen in a scuffle on the red carpet. McGregor was seen trying to throw a punch at the rapper while security held both celebs back. Even though McGregor was escorted away from MGK and his current girlfriend Megan Fox, McGregor was seen throwing a cocktail at the pair. As of now there is no news as to how and why the fight started at the award show.<\/p>\n

Even though this fight happened at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, if under California jurisdiction, MGK could have a good case of assault against the UFC fighter. Assault as defined by the California Penal Code section 240 is \u201can unlawful attempt, coupled with a present ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another.\u201d The misdemeanor is punishable by six months in jail and\/or up to a $1,000 fine. It seems apparent from the videos and pictures that McGregor intended to use his professional and unprofessional fighting skills against the rapper, and with no current information of self-defense, McGregor could be in legal trouble.<\/p>\n

If Machine Gun Kelly wanted to press chargers, it seems likely that the many videos and pictures from all angles of the fight could get him a win. However, it is currently unclear why the fight begun and if MGK has anything to do with the starting of the fight then he\u2019ll want the fight to fade off and for McGregor to just leave him alone.<\/p>\n
