Harvey Weinstein has been extradited to California to face additional sexual assault and rape charges. If convicted he faces more than 140 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Unknown-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4471\" src=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Unknown-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Weinstein was brought in from Wende Correctional Facility in \u00a0New York where he had been\u00a0serving a 23-year sentence\u00a0for rape and sexual assault after his conviction in February 2020. He is to appear as soon as Wednesday in Los Angeles for\u00a011 counts of rape,\u00a0sexual battery and other charges involving five women.
