Being declared his common law wife would have given Desiree move control over his current and future estate and his 14 children. The court stated she does \u201cnot have standing to file,\u201d as a common law wife.<\/p>\n<p>DMX died earlier this year following a drug overdose; he left no will and few liquid assets.<span style=\"font-family: inherit;font-size: 1.125rem\">Without a will, an\u00a0estate must be set up to manage future earnings from DMX\u2019S music.
