Actress, Lori Loughlin, is known for her role on Full House as \u201cAunt Becky\u201d. Netflix also has Fuller House which is a sequel to Full House. The actress and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli \u00a0were accused of conspiracy to get their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits. However, neither of their daughters had ever rowed competitively. The college admissions cheating scandal is\u00a0 \u00a0 nationwide.<\/p>\n

The actress and fashion designer entered guilty pleas on conspiracy charges to Judge Nathaniel Gorton of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston in May. In pleading guilty, the couple dropped previous assertions that their payments were charitable and prosecutors had withheld exculpatory evidence. Prosecutors have charged over 50 suspects, including parents and coaches, in the investigation that’s been called” Varsity Blues.”\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mossimo Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison. Lori Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison. Mossimo is expected to begin his five-month sentence next month. Lori decided to start her sentence early. She was ordered to report to prison on Nov. 19, but she reported three weeks earlier. Lori\u2019s decision could be dependent on the upcoming Holidays. Lori may not be home for Thanksgiving but going in early she is likely to be home just in time for Christmas.<\/p>\n

Given the uncertainties regarding Covid-19, it is unclear whether Lori will complete her full sentence. Many criminals have been getting shorter prison sentences due to Covid restrictions and social distancing. Courts are taking into consideration factors such as prolonged cell confinement and visitor restrictions It is likely that the court here took these factors into account when sentencing the actress and designer. Due to Covid more criminals will avoid jail time altogether or receive reduce sentencing. Lori is spending two weeks in quarantine in accordance with the prison’s guidelines to stop the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n
