But does this mean he supports Trump?<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Lil Wayne posted a photo of him and Trump on Twitter stating the 2 had a \u201cgreat meeting.\u201d Wayne met the President in Miami to discuss the administration\u2019s \u201cPlatinum Plan,\u201d a policy that aims to \u201cgive the [black] community real ownership.\u201d In the tweet, Wayne expressed that \u201c[Trump] listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-3587 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet-300x251.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet-300x251.jpg 300w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet-768x642.jpg 768w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet-1024x856.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Weezy-Tweet.jpg 1242w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wayne is among a string of hip hop artists, including Kanye West, 50 Cent, Lil Pump and Ice Cube, who have publicly backed Trump and\/or his policies. 50 Cent and Lil Pump previously endorsed Trump\u2019s tax plan by renouncing Joe Biden\u2019s. 50 Cent specifically stated that he did not want to become \u201c20 Cent\u201d due to Biden\u2019s proposed tax scheme but later denounced his direct support for Trump by tweeting \u201cF**k Donald Trump. I never liked him.\u201d Lil Pump has so far not reneged on his tweet advocating for \u201cTrump 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-3585 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump-1600x1600.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/askcarterlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/50-Cent-Trump.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 344px) 100vw, 344px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In recent months, Ice Cube worked with the Trump administration to outline a proposal for the \u201cPlatinum Plan\u201d in an effort to invigorate the black community through economic-related initiatives, making Juneteenth a federal holiday and prosecuting white supremacist and terrorist groups such as the Klu Klux Klan and Antifa. Ice Cube later clarified that he is \u201cwilling to work with both teams. But [he\u2019s] just working with whoever is willing to work with [him].\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"688\" height=\"387\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OUgzHvDBafE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before endeavoring to run for President himself, Kanye also pledged his support for Trump after a meeting with him in the Oval Office in 2018. However, despite Trump\u2019s pledge to put forth the \u201cPlatinum Plan\u201d and photos of him shaking hands and hugging top rap artists, Trump has presented conflicting messages regarding race, previously calling the Black Lives Matter movement a \u201csymbol of hate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"688\" height=\"387\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mw-47P64tVE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Thus, the question remains: do these influential hip-hop stars specifically support Trump, or does their support hinge on Trump taking deliberate action to fulfill promises for future revitalization of black communities in the US?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another rapper supports Trump\u2019s policies.
