Three-time Grammy Award winner, Lizzo, solidified a deal to create television projects set to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Lizzo zoom-crashed Amazon\u2019s virtual Television Critics Association meeting to officially announce their partnership during which the co-head of TV at Amazon Studios (Albert Cheng) called her a \u201cforce of positivity.\u201d It is not surprising that the superstar, has her eyes set on new horizons given the success she has garnered from her studio albums and the recognition she has attained as a household name, a social media inspiration, a Grammy award winner and a multi-platinum artist. She truly is an embodiment of the title Entertainer of the Year given to her by Entertainment Weekly and Time Magazine in 2019.<\/p>\n

In the film and television industry, a first-look agreement is a contract between a production company (in this case Amazon Studios) and an independent writer\/producer (Lizzo) for yet-to-be created or developed content. The contract in essence gives Amazon the right to a \u201cfirst-look\u201d at projects created by Lizzo and allows them to decide whether to purchase, produce and\/or distribute the new material based on terms stated in the contract.<\/p>\n
