As reported previously, Tanisha already has join physical (where the child lives) and legal custody (legal decisions about the raising of the child).

Samantha will retain temporary physical custody of Emani until the next hearing in July. Although the case file is sealed since it involves a minor, it is safe to say that Samantha had to make valid arguments about the child safety and well being in order to trump Tanisha’s joint custody and biological rights. Tanisha currently has a outstanding warrant for her arrest regarding violating probation in a delegate DUI matter so I’m sure they did not help her case.

Tanisha has until the next court hearing to show how she is not a threat to the child’s mental, emotional or physical safety and that she can provide a stable home for Emani. Records are sealed in this matter so exact reasons will never be made public. A court can award Guardianshjp to a third party even if a biological party already has joint custody if it is shown they are unfit. Tanisha’s lawyer made a statement to press that he will seek a visitation schedule until the next hearing for his client.

Stay tuned…

A family court judge ruled in Nipsey Hussle’s sister favor yesterday regarding guardianship of his only daughter.
