Don’t Mess With the Wests: Kim and Kanye Threaten Ex-Bodyguard with Lawsuit Following ‘Defamatory’ Interview

Body Slammed.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are gearing up for a potential legal battle against their former bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, for making defamatory statements about the power couple. The ex-bodyguard recently did an interview for the Hollywood Raw Podcast where he spoke openly about the “ridiculous rules” that he had to follow while working for KimYe.

During the podcast, he talked about his time as security for the famous couple, which included things like how far he had to walk behind them while on the street, and not getting in the way of paparazzi photos. Stanulis further claimed that Kim and Kanye alert the paparazzi every time they leave the house. “There’s no way every time they are leaving, all these people know about it,” he said on the podcast. “There’s definitely somebody calling ahead.” He also called Kanye the “moodiest” and “neediest” celebrity who’s ever hired him. (Yikes!)

According to TMZ, the Wests have sent Stanulis a cease and desist letter in which the couple claims that the bodyguard signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) back in 2016. Per the agreement, Stanulis agreed to not speak about the family’s personal business, and if he does so again, he’s looking at a lawsuit to the tune of $10 MILLION! The cease and desist letter further alleges that Stanulis made “false and defamatory statements” against the couple while on the podcast. But get this—this apparently isn’t the first time they’ve threatened Stanulis for talking about their personal business. It happened in May 2016 as well, but back then couple also demanded a public apology.

Stanulis’ publicist, Zack Teperman, told TMZ, “… no breach of any confidentiality agreement was done. My client went on a podcast to promote his new film, and old stories that were already out there were brought up.” He adds, “For Kanye and Kim’s counsel to send out a threatening letter to bully my client against his rights is unwarranted. My client has already made it clear that he respects Kanye, their time working together.”

Do you believe Stanulis breached confidentiality? Or is KimYe taking things a little too far? Tell us what you think below in the comments!
