It’s finally come to an end.

The court has officially granted #NipseyHussle sister, mother and brother as equal legal guardians over Emani. This is shocking because #TanishaFoster had joint legal and physical custody as the biological mom prior to Nipsey’s death.

A court only awards custody to non biological parents if their is some proof that the parent is unfit. All states also go by “best interest of child” standard so the judge must have had his reasons based on whatever evidence presented. No news on what Tanisha’s visitation schedule will look like. She can always petition the court in the future to modify the custody as long as she shows a “material change in circumstances”.

As a family law attorney for several years, I can tell you there are never any winners in a custody battle. On the other hand, regarding Nipsey’s son #Kross, #LaurenLondon became the guardian of Kross financial estate from what Nipsey left behind that is estimated at $2M dollars.
