According to the outlet, the $19 million deal locks the player in with the team for two years. Now Tristan is officially an US citizen.


Tristan was not born in the United States. According to CNN, Tristan was born in Brampton, Ontario and moved to the US as a

teen to attend high school in New Jersey. Then Tristan’s basketball career took off early.

The news broke this according to a photo shared by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services-Western Region Twitter

Thompson said in a statement.
