CAUGHT: Fake Justin Bieber Art Show Receives Cease and Desist

Caught red-handed.

An art show claiming to exhibit the work of Justin Bieber has been exposed to be a hoax. The actual artist behind the show is Brian Whiteley, a Brooklyn artist, and owner of Satellite Art Show. Works were listed as $100,000 each.

In response, Bieber’s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to Whiteley in which they accused the artist of “direct infringement of our client’s intellectual property rights.”

The artist has since changed the name of his art show to “Justin Bieber is Suing Me”. Whiteley’s reasoning for posing as Justin Bieber to sell artwork is that he was intrigued by the allure that celebrities bring when they decide they want to be artists. He specifically gave the example of Hunter Biden’s $500,000 listed pieces.

“You can tell why celebrities turn into artists—all of a sudden you can make a buttload of money,” Whiteley said.
