BURNED: Kendall Jenner Pays $90K for Her Involvement with Fyre Festival

Fyre in Paradise.

Kendall Jenner has agreed to pay a $90,000 settlement for promoting Fyre Festival on social media.

The model, along with many other celebrities, was paid to promote the fraudulent festival back in 2017. Jenner was reportedly paid $275,000 to endorse the festival, which never even happened.

In August 2019, she was sued in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York by Gregory Messer. Messer alleged that Jenner “intentionally” misinformed the public by referencing her G.O.O.D. Music Family as headliners, leading many to believe that Kanye West would be in attendance. Messer also alleged that Jenner failed to inform her followers that she was paid for endorsing the festival, and led her followers to believe the festival would be “filled with models on an ‘exotic private island with first-class culinary experiences and a luxury atmosphere.’”

Jenner has denied all liability but agreed to return a third of what she was paid. It is crazy to think that she still made $185,000 from a festival that did not even happen!

Messer currently has pending lawsuits against Migos, Lil Yachty, Push T, Blink-182 and model Emily Ratajkowski. Stay tuned to Askcarterlaw.com to see how these unfold!
