That didn’t last long . . . Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split less than a year after marriage.

According to TMZ, a representative for Miley told People Mag, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The ex-couple obtained their marriage license in December of 2018, and despite Liam explicitly referring to Miley as his wife in late May and posting a photo of the two of them in June, neither of them have been seen wearing a wedding band since. However, neither of them have filed for a divorce in Tennessee yet either, where they got their marriage license.

Despite this, Liam took to Instagram to break his silence about his split with Miley, as he wrote, “Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and love.”

As for Miley, it seems she has moved on . . . with long time friend, Kaitlynn Carter, who has also recently split from her husband, Brody Jenner. Miley and Kaitlynn were caught making out poolside in Lake Como this past weekend, and TMZ has been told that the two are seeing each other, with no labels attached.
