Saving Grace? New evidence emerges to support Jussie Smollett

Embattled singer and actor Jussie Smollett as previously reported paid his $10,000 towards his $100,000 bond to be release from custody last week.

Now it appears that Eddie Johnson, Chicago Police Superintendent, who held the press conference regarding Smollett charges may have over stepped the appropriate legal bounds by unequivocally stating that the check they had in evidence proved Smollett hired the Nigerian brother suspects to participate in a hoax.

According to the check that was released to the media it clearly states that it was for personal training services.

Now it appears there are text messages to back this theory up. The following text messages (dated January 20-25) that were released by Smollett’s lawyers clearly supports Smollett’s defense that the conversations leading up to his attack were about personal training not conspiracy to participate in fake assaulting him.

The States prosecution will have to now provide some evidence to refute this new evidence that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Jussie orchestrated this alleged hoax and therefore is guilty of filing a false police report in order to get a guilty verdict in this case.

**3/8/19 Update**- The suspect brothers have admitted the check they received was not for the alleged hoax but for personal training services as Jussie has contended all along. However, the Grand Jury has decided to indict Jussie on 16 felony count anyway. A count for each alleged false statement in his conversations with police over a 2 day period. Most are calling this outrageous. Thoughts?

Stay tuned…
