Kim Kardashian has done it again!

After spending 15 years in prison. Kim’s legal team helped Cyntoia Brown get clemency from the governor and she was released today. Most of the controversy surrounds how her victim was killed. She claims self defense because he was sex trafficker who she claims reached for look like a weapon and the prosecution said it was a robbery since she took his wallet afterwards. Either way she has spent half of her life in jail. During this time Brown received her associate degree from Lipscomb University in 2015 and, according to The Tennessean, obtained a bachelor’s degree in the Tennessee Prison for Women in May.

Several other celebrities also rallied around her release including singer Rihanna and rapper T.I.

However, there are conditions with her release. She will be on parole for 10 years. Brown must also maintain employment or educational enrollment and that she participate in regular counseling sessions, said Dorinda Carter, spokeswoman for the Tennessee Department of Corrections.  She’s also required to perform at least 50 hours of community service, including working with at-risk youth.

We wish Ms. Brown a smooth transition back into society!
