FREE AT LAST. Britney Spears conservatorship is officially over after a lengthy battle over whether the singer was mentally sound enough to control her $60 million estate.

“The court finds the conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Spears is no longer required,” Judge Brenda Penny announced during Britney’s hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Britney took to Instagram soon after the ruling to say it was the “best day ever.” After Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, her personal accountant took over the conservatorship who will after court order be required to disengage. Britney has helped those experiencing abuse and neglect in conservatorships speak up.
