Riverdale star, Cole Sprouse and actress, Jaime King are among those who have been arrested at Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles.

On June 1, Cole Sprouse was standing in solidarity at a protest in Santa Monica, but was nabbed by police and put in zip ties. After being released, he turned to Instagram to speak of his experience. He stated, “we were given the option to leave, and were informed that if we did not retreat, we would be arrested. When many of us did turn to leave, we found another line of police officers blocking our route, at which point, they started zip tying us.” He continued, “this is, and will be, a time about standing ground near others as a situation escalates, providing educated support, demonstrating and doing the right thing.”

On June 3, the Hart of Dixie actress Jaime King revealed that she had been arrested while protesting outside Mayor Eric Garcetti’s house in Los Angeles. She revealed she was arrested for a peaceful protest and was placed in handcuffs in the back of a bus. She also tweeted that the other women who had been arrested were being mistreated by police and had to remain on the bus for over four hours without access to meds and bathrooms.
